We all know Texans have a rich history with President Bush and that some agree and some disagree with the war in Iraq. This movie, much like what American Dreamz did for the American Idol set, aims its satirical eye on the war. The movie starts with a hitman Brand Hauser (Juhn Cusak( who sent to look over the upcoming wedding of turaqistani pop star Tonica Babyyeah (Hilary Duff). With a fledging reporter (Marisa Tomei) hot on his heels and his former crime boss (Ben Kingsly). Stuck in the war torn Turaqistan with no where to go and new alliances forming, Hauser takes on the biggest enemy of all: The Corperations funding the Wat. Much like American Dreamz (which I also saw) the satire is very quick and biting in its comic delivery. The characters are very fleshed out and feel like real people, even the spoiled pop princess has a voice of her. All the side characters woek to their own advantages including Joan Cusak and Dan Aykroyd. JOhn Cusak is at his useal best and Hilary Duff has fleshed into a verstaile adult actress and everyone looks like they are having a great time.
MY VERDICT: thumbs up
