Twentieth Century Fox has announced that a sequel to the Academy Award Winning film 'Wall Street' directed by Oliver Stone is currently in pre-production. The working title is currently 'Money Never Sleeps' but like many films that is probably due to change. The current story is that Gordan Gekko will be realeased from prison. (For those who haven't seen the movie he goes to prison in the end) It will be set at present time and will show how he copes amongst Wall Street's current meltdown. No word yet has been made as to whether Michael Douglas who played Gekko is coming back to do the sequel nor Oliver Stone.

Lets hope Douglas does return because his performance was not only superb but he won an academy award for his performance. Also in my opinion I think this is the first smart move by Fox in a long time. When the Irag war started heaps of films came out on the topic and they were all controversial (in the beginning, the topic soon went dry) and made heeps of money. This is the first movie I have heard about that is going to start talking about the current Wall Street meltdown and what better way to do it then have Gordan Gekko in it. What's you opinion? Is this good news or bad news?
