According to Variety, Steve Carell is attached to play the title character in “The Adventures of Brigadier Gerard,” a comedy set during the Napoleonic Wars.
The Script was written by John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky (Blades of Glory
Carell will play the title character, the bravest soldier in Napoleon’s army and also the dumbest. Gerard follows Napoleon from his rise to power to his permanent exile. The comedy is based on stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Variety says that Carell is considering other roles as well including a “Get Smart”
sequel and a pairing with Tina Fey in “Date Night,”.
