If it's crap... We'll tell you

Now I know some critics have been slamming this movie (rotten tomatoes – 27% my ASS), but I thoroughly enjoyed it! It was a non-stop thrill ride from start to finish. Now, yes the plot is has been done before (slightly ala ‘I Robot’ without the walking robots) and it was predictable, but that aspect didn’t take away from the fact that it had great action, a good story, and terrific acting.
Okay I am trying not to, but Shia LaBeouf totally brings out the cougar in me, just because he is a DAMN GOOD Actor! I was thoroughly impressed with his dedication and emotional range in this part. A part that many others would definitely let the action do the talking and not worked on emphasizing those emotionally connected parts, but he committed to it! From the short but touching scenes with Will Sadler, who played his father; and I think also played his father in Battle of Shaker Heights –not sure, but either way those scenes were powerful, to the high energy action scenes – he was completely convincing. And on top of that he still manages to be funny and likeable – keep it up Shia – we love it! He definitely has a long and prosperous career ahead for him.
Michelle Monaghan did well in her role as well, not as animated as Shia – but I think that was the point, she was the older of the two main characters and more level headed. She was very convincing as a concerned mother and gorgeous as always.
Also props to the supporting cast of Billy Bob Thorton (haven’t loved you this much since Armagedon), Rosario Dawson, and Mike Chikilis (we love you in the shield and you played this role very nicely as well – very much the man in charge) you all did very well in your roles.
Okay also need to give the hats off to DJ Caruso! I really loved what he did with Disturbia, but this was a whole new type of movie, a huge action thriller – like a Michael Bay type film, and DJ you hit that right out of the park (PS: sorry for your Mets)! I think this was the first high action movie you have done – and DAMN I am impressed! You kept the pace of the movie just right, combining action with meaningful scenes. And I like to blast some critics that said the plot lacked character development – I thought it gave just the right amount!
Anyway, I loved this movie and will go see it at least a few times more before it is out of the theaters. So my recommendations to everyone else: guys, girls, go see this movie – absolutely a blast and enjoyable time!

Nice view, I seriously think that Mr. LaBeouf has Oscar written all over him, give him a few more (short) years.

It was an awesome movie. I think there are some problems with it, but I still don't understand why people hate this movie.
