I went and saw it last night. I figured that since I knew there was no big climax, I wouldn't be shocked and confused by it. But I was anyway. Be warned, spoilers ahead...

*Not only did they skip over the climax, they didn't bother referencing the main character at all beyond that point. They sort of tied up what happened to his wife, but that's it. I'm fine with missing the big critical battle if it's at least explained.

*There's an odd moment where two opposing characters return to a room but only one of them knows that they are both there. Instead of keeping up the tension by completing that scene, they just cut away and show the characters doing other things later.

*At the end, the villan went from super badass stalker/killer to supernatural stereotype. His head is smashed through a car window at high impact speed and he just gets up, shakes it off, and walks down the street. Any human being will be a little more affected by that sort of damage.

My conclusion: It's a moral messege movie. The instant the main character decided to have a beer with a woman other than his wife, he's toast without so much the courtesy of a death scene.
