Jared, yes I definitely understand where you’re coming from. Normally I would completely agree with you but, for me, JK is the exception to the rule. If JK Rowling had said she thinks Dumbledore was gay rather than making a blank statement of fact it still would have been considered cannon. JK Rowling is so involved with her HP world that what she thinks = what is. This is after all the woman who wrote a history book on Quidditch and assorted “fantastic beasts.”
Now, if you were talking about George Lucas… ☺
