In the world of film, it's really amazing how much one charecter can take. As regular people, we are annoyed enough with paying our bills, going to work or school, and just putting up with the daily problems we all face.
Can you picture how stressed these guys are?

John McClane
Don't you think going through the Fox Plaza building and getting shot at by terrorists (with the worry of saving hostages) is a traumatic experience in and of itself? Well, not for this guy. John seems to be able to keep cool through all the drama he has gone through, even though he has a giant potty mouth.
When you thought three experiences with terrorists was enough, the guy can still come back for a fourth time to kick some ass. From surviving explosions, car crashes, weapon ammunition and even fighting a jet single handedly I'm suprised the guy doesn't have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He's gone through enough shit as it is. When our country needs him, John will always be there to kick some ass.

John Kramer A.K.A. The Jigsaw Killer
While he isn't exactly trying to save the world, this guy definitely has had a life of drama that most people wouldn't be able to handle. While you think getting a brain tumor would be hard enough to deal with, try driving a car off a cliff and surviving. Also, it must be pretty annoying seeing people messing up their lives and making wrong choices while your dieing of cancer. Doesn't that make you want to just put people in gruesome contraptions to make them learn a lesson?!
This guy has no problem 'pwning' people to deliver his message. Hell, even when the guy is dead he still is able to teach you some manners. From the cancer, to attempted suicide, to losing his wife and child I don't blame the guy for going all crazy. The creepy part about it is he is trying to do good in this world and help us realize what we have, if only he did it in a more conventional way.

Indiana Jones (Dr. Henry Walton Jones, Jr.)
Okay, running away from a giant boulder would mentally scar me for life. This guy can obviously take it. He's been through enough in his life, and the only thing that seems to bother him is teaching at the university. Well, why teach when you can go out and save the world. From recovering the Ark of the Covenant, to going against an evil tribal cult and even finding the Holy Grail itself this guy truley has no limits. Also, while all of us would go crazy to see a UFO, the guy had the honor of watching a giant flying saucer go into space. He even returned a Crystal Skull to the aliens in person.
Everyone wants to be Indy, he is the definition of an adventurer. The probablity of going through one of the things he has gone through is one in a billion. Yet he has had the privelage to go through these things four times over, and if Spielberg and Lucas want him go through some more crazy ass shit, then by god he will!

Bruce Wayne A.K.A. Batman
Losing your parents to a killer is hard enough, but watching them die right in front of you is a whole different story. While most of us would mourn and move on with our lives, this guy decides to take justice into his own hands and prevent his past from happening to anyone else. What a nice guy. Too make things more stressful, he's in a batsuit all night kicking ass, coming home with bruises and scars. Saving Gotham City is no easy task, especially with the crazy opponents he is up against.
Crossing paths with a psychotic mass murdering clown who likes to cause chaos for no reason is pretty scary stuff. But when your job is to actually try and stop someone like the Joker, then most likely you will come home with a headache equivelant to that of a hangover every night. To make things worse, he can't just quit now, Gotham needs him! Hopefully The Dark Knight will come to retirement, stop all the baddies, and actually enjoy the life of a billionaire.

James Bond A.K.A. 007
Saving the world can be tough, but when its actually your job you might as well give your king size matress to a hobo because you wont be getting much sleep. Hell, you wont even be at home. Saving the world requires you to move from one location to the next, meeting some pretty crazy baddies and also some beautiful women. With the girls this guy is able to get, everything evens out pretty nicely...
But when getting into gunfights and hearing explosions everyday becomes a natural thing, then man you seriously need some help. Losing your loved one right in front of you is also hard to bare. Being a secret agent is a lonely life, and if you look at it in that sense you almost feel bad for the guy. He never gets time to relax or go on vacation, not even the holidays. But at least he's tough. This guy isn't scared of the thousand rounds of ammunition shot at him daily! The only thing he is scared of is commitment with a female.

Richard "Rick" O'Connell
You'd think after fighting in the war, living through countless battles, being arrested and almost hung to death you would want to take a day to sit back and relax. Well this guy can't, due to his family constantly awakening mummies from their rest. While people around the world are listening to their radios and having a cool glass of lemonade, O'Connell is out taking down one Mummy at a time and saving mankind from slavery and destruction.
This guy can't catch a break. When he finally takes down his first Mummy, it must be a bitch to hear the bastard has returned from the dead...again. Then, when you think it's finally over and you reach retirement, it must be a slap in the face to hear a completely different Mummy is out and about trying to conquer the world. But in reality, the retirement life is boring for O'Connell, and as much as he hates Mummies coming back from the dead to destroy mankind he probably is having fun while he takes them down. It must suck saving the world, and no one knows you did anything.
So the next time you think you're going through some shit, think again. Because these guys obviously have their hands full and are taking much more than we can handle!
