Set between Batman Begins and the upcoming The Dark Knight this movie is six different interlocking stories. Now this is suppost to drop hints of what's to come in The Dark Knight but it doesn't really. The only thing close to that is the second story "Crossfire" with the Italian and Russian mobs fighting with each other. But none the less this is the best animated Batman adventure since Mask of the Phantasm. I'm not a big fan of Japanese anime and I have friends who are anime freaks and I thought the animation works pretty damn well. Now not all the stories are great but I gotta say I love the stories "In Darkness Dwells" and "Deadshot" the most amazing stories. Now "Have I Got A Story For You" was really good event though we've seen this story many times before with kids giving their views on what they think Batman is and "Field Test" was pretty fun to watch. "Crossfire" was the least interesting one since you really can't find the detectives intresting. Now the special features are excellent. The Bob Kane documentary is great and the one on Batman's villians is perfect as well. There are four bonus episodes from Batman: The Animated Series selected by Bruce Timm and one of them being the show's most famous episode "Heart of Ice" which is now and forever the best Mr. Freeze story ever told. Pick up this DVD!
