The Happening - Review

Well, last night I saw the newest M. Night Shyamalan movie entitled "The Happening." The movie stars Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel, and John Leguizamo. The basic plot without spoiling too much for anyone is basically an unknown airbourne virus gets out into most of the East Coast and it's causing people to get three symptoms (Impaired Speech, Disoriented Walk, The Third step causes you to commit suicide.) Overall, I thought Mark Wahlberg put a lot of effort into this movie and I think that's one of the reasons I think it held me in there. But overall, this movie had some parts I think they could've done so much better. I found the story was going a little to slow at times. And I understand all movies like to have a little humor in them but I found Mark Wahlberg goofing around at times that I don't think really needed it (The comedy was funny though.) Overall I'm going to have to give this movie a High Matinee, good but could've been much better.
