Many of the more than 600
New Line Cinema employees are expecting to get fired after totally bungling the premiere of
"Sex and the City" so badly that about 2,000 people were turned away from the door.
Actually, news of the layoffs came first as it was announced that
New Line will be consolidated into the Warner Bros. family in a month.
"It's like a bad reality show," one of the employee says. "They keep promising jobs with Warner Bros., but not a whole lot has come through. So they want people to work their asses off with no real payoff."

Accordingly, in the right hands could have been one of the most exciting NYC has ever seen, instead it was such a disaster.
"No one was really paying attention to the 'Sex and the City' movie," another staffer said.
"They gave up."
"People are just chugging drinks at their desks in the middle of the work day."
Sex and the City was the #1 movie at the box office this weekend, though mostly based on Friday. There was such a dropoff that its Saturday and Sunday totals were both beat by
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, which came in a close second for weekend total

"Buh-bye, losers! We're making a sequel."
