If it's crap... We'll tell you

This just me discussing some things that I have bought whether they be movies, video games, or comics.

Thunderbolts: Reason in Madness. Wow this is the first Thunderbolts filler that I actually had fun reading. Christos Gage's writing has improve with these one shots. Venom and Norman Osborn are capture well with these pages. The pencils by Ben Oliver are done well, but the coloring is the weak link. I think they way to bright for the Thunderbolts. Overall I enjoyed this issue.

Thunderbolts #120 Wow. This issue was fucking awesome. Warren Ellis has been building up to the return of Norman Osborn as the Green Goblin and man was it worth it. Norman Osborn rant as he suits up is just great. I found it disturbing and hilarious at the same time. The melt down at Thunderbolt Mountain is entertaining as hell. Also Mike Dedato Jr. is really on target with his artwork. This is great issue and I would strongly suggest for anyone to pick up this issue.

Wolverine #65 Jason Aaron concludes his "Get Mystique" arc. It was a fun ride. I personal liked how Wolverine had to use his brains to get to Mystique. The flashbacks were as entertaining as the hunting of Mystique. Plus Ron Garney artwork is solid. Next month Mark Millar and Steve Mcniven start their arc and let us hope it is as good as "Get Mystique."

The Amazing Spider-Man #558 Wasn't one of Brand New Day goals suppose to be bring in younger readers? I find that hard to believe that Bob Gale's dialogue horrible. Mother-in-law jokes, really? Barry Kitson's art is pretty good. This was not a good issue.

The Amazing Spider-Man #559 Is a improvement over previous Gale written issue. Dan Slott is writhing this arc. My interest in this story is high at the moment. It might heated up later but as right I kind a bored. I read that many love the art of Marcos Martin, but for me it is o.k. This is an average setup issue.

The New Avengers #40 Secret Invasion tie in. Brian Michael Bendis fleshes out some Skrull back story. This was well written and well drawn issue. Jim Cheung is quite good at drawing. This peek into the lives of Skrull is enjoyable plus there is a Skrull reveal. So if your are following Secret Invasion pick this up.

The Mighty Avengers #13 Secret Invasion tie in. Again Brian Michael Bendis continues to tell the reader what Nick Fury has been up to since "Secret War." He is building his own team of heroes. Alex Maleev art is great. Again if you are following Secret Invasion pick this up.

Secret Invasion #2 This issue penned by Brian Micheal Bendis is a slug-fest. The art by Leinel Francis Yu is still quite good. The last page was great with the Skrulls starting their attack on Manhattan. Pick this up.

Detective Comics #844 Paul Dini and Dusten Nguyen finish up their two part Batman/Zatanna story. This isn't Paul Dini best work but it is still a decent comic. Nguyen pencils are really great and slightly HellBoyish. I still love the short story approach by Dini. I still love picking up Detective Comics.

Batman #676 So this is the start of the big Batman event "Batman R.I.P." Grant Morrison Epic with Tony Daniel doing the art. Morrison spends most this issue showing have well things are Bruce Wayne. Also we see the "Black Glove" gather preparing their "danse macabre" which the Joker is invite to in this issue. Pick this up if you like Batman.
