Movie Memories(Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Oh......My.....GOOOOOOOOOD.Those were the very words running through my head when I first saw the trailer for this movie.I literally blew a hole through my pants with astonishment. You simply can't imagine how much I love this movie.Let's take a trip to the past, shall we?

I love Ninja Turtles.Back when I was a kid I worshiped them.I bought the video games, the action figures, the Halloween costume, hell, even those cartoons on VHS tapes when Burger King sold them.Yes,it's true.Anyway,I first saw this movie with my brother and dad.At first,I had to beg him to take me to see it.It's just one of those movies that you know that as soon as that movies ends,so does another childhood memory. This movie had everything I had every hoped for in a Turtles movie,it was action packed, the Turtles used their weapons constantly because in the cartoon they didn't fight much compared to the movie,at least this one....It had the Shredder who was one tough bitch that put up a really good fight against them and it had that unique feel to it.I would go on about it,but let me tell you something:They don't make movies like these anymore.Often today, directors would go for a different approach and what I mean by that is that they wouldn't be faithful to the comics, cartoons,or games that they originated from.Take Resident Evil for example.Yes,you know what I mean by now, right?Need more? What about Doom?Anyway,I loved how they stuck close to the games and shows.

So it was until about 4 months ago that I discovered the DVD to this movie and it was pretty amazing to feel that nostalgia.I bought this movie without any hesitation at ALL,bought a large pizza, sat down, put it on high volume and enjoyed one of my favorite movies of all fucking time. The fighting scenes just blew me away.Oh,and here's another thing,I hate it when heroes seem invincible against bad guys except maybe taking a hit or two,but in this movie, the Turtles had to struggle and eventually met their match against the Shredder.Splinter had to take him out!I didn't care though.See,movies today, these protagonists just seem like they won't die and never will so it gets boring as hell.

So anyway,in my opinion, this is the best Turtles movie EVER.Better than the recent CGI movie.Don't get me wrong,I liked it.It just didn't seem real like this one.So if you happen to be at Taret,WalMart or whatever,be sure to get yourself a copy because this movie is awesome.
