Death Proof was very evocative for me cause here i am in SoCal, missing CenTX, and this movie is shot entirely there, in places i recognize, probably by people i used to know, y'know? Plus, THEY FILMED AT THE TEXAS CHILI PARLOR. That is a special place for me. Its so cool that they filmed there. I think its a great Austin movie, reminds me of Blood Simple almost. I wont say i liked all of it, cause i didnt. But i liked most of it and i liked some of it a lot. And if this Comment sounds pverly-sipmlistic its cause im smoking good Cali bud- there are some advantages to Cal over TX.

Okay, I'll probably blog about this later, but Tony and I watched Death Proof, newest Tarantino, and it was AWFUL really bad sucked couldn't believe it. After Kill Bill he has descended into self-parody. Every conversation is done with the same bullshit blase expression with oh-so-cool dialogue sounding less natural than it did in Clerks...where it was oh-so-cool. Anyway, it sucked, complete autocannabalism. Somebody needs to reign Tarantino the fuck in and see if he's got another great movie in him or not.
