Prominent Actor Involved In The Grizzly Hollywood Murder Of His Acting Coach

Experienced handlers were working with well-known actor, 'Rocky' , a grizzly bear that has appeared in Hollywood films, at the Predators in Action park, a private animal training park in California when the animal suddenly killed its trainer, Stephan Miller, by biting his neck.

Staff used pepper spray to subdue the bear but were unable to save Stephan Miller.

Randy Miller (Stephans' cousin and owner of the park) won a World Stunt Academy Award when he stood in for Russell Crowe to wrestle tigers in the 2000 film Gladiator. Rocky played Will Ferrell's wrestling partner in the recent comedy Semi-Pro.

During filming of the wrestling match, Randy Miller acted as Ferrell's stunt double. Randy Miller described Rocky as "the best working bear in the business", but added: "If one of these animals gets a hold of your throat, you're finished."

Denise Richards popped out of a nearby sanctuary for injured wildlife long enough to say: "Even though it may appear that the bear attacked for no reason, there was a reason.
"I'm sure Randy understands why it happened. They're not cold-blooded killers."

...Sure. Until they're killing you in cold-blood!

I would be very upset to learn that Rocky the bear was taken from his trainer and dumped in a zoo or worse still killed I dont agree with any Animal being kept in captivity but Rocky knows no other life but to be working.people know the risk when working with or near wild Animals.

"Even the tamest bear could have attacked. They just don't belong in captivity, much less show business"
That's why the Jim Henson creature shop exists! If they want to use bears in films, then they should build a lifelike puppet that could pass for the real thing and have it used in films!

Should a serial killer be allowed to live around people if he'll kill someone?

If they give people a prison sentence for killing someone (for the first time) then why should the bear be killed. It's more likely that a person would kill again than the bear. And the bear isn't evil like most killers.

Also, the trainer knew the risks that are involved with caring for a bear. Even the tamest bear could have attacked. They just don't belong in captivity, much less show business

So, should the bear be allowed to continue to live around humans where it may attack somebody again or returned to the wild where it no longer has the instincts for living in?

Either that or they'll team up and kill you in your sleep.

he may have not known his own strength. I'm guessing the tainer couldnt say the saftey word. if youre going to keep "wild" animals as pets grizzlie and tigers are the best one cuz they bond better.

I have reason to believe that the bear was being mistreated. It's not the poor bears fault. He shouldn't be put down.

So does anyone know who has authority over whether or not the bear is put down? Since it didn't kill a random person, and it is presumably an accident, I would hope that both the family of the deceased and that state of California can overlook a one time animal instinct of an otherwise trained bear.
