If it's crap... We'll tell you

Hello everyone, im gonna be adding some of my game reviews to this brilliant website, ive not been on here for a while, so its about time i did what id say id do about 2 weeks ago =D.

Of course by now everyone has either heard of world of warcraft or at least played it somewhere along the lines. Being the biggest grossing online game of all time and the most successful, i think over 12 millon people play world wide now which is quite something considering when blizzard first realised this game they didnt take into account how many people would acutally play this :).

Now the game is set in the universe of warcraft, now if you have played the warcraft RTS games then you will be familar with the story and the plot of the series. If you havent played the previous warcraft games then the story will make no sence at all, with so many factions and characters to choose from you would think its very simlar if not identical to the LOTR books and movies.

The sides are basicly split into two groups, the Alliance (good) and the Horde (bad guys) now some might say that those that now the story that horde arent rearly bad guys, and the alliance arent rearly bad guys, because they are both as bad as each other. Its a matter of opinon but the horde are generally considered evil.

These two forces have been at war since the end of the of the battle at mount hyjal. Where they teamed up together and defeated the scourge and its forces. But there is a new enemy waiting to surface that has been mounting his forces in the land of northrend, The new expansion Wrath of the litch king is the most eagly anticipated expansion of the series after the massive success of the burning crusade expansion the fan base is growning and so is the world of warcarft. With new content being added all the time the world never seems to get boring. I have played World of warcraft for 3 years, more or less since its realise. What keeps me playing is the socal factor, you meet lots of interesting and nice people on the servers and if you get into a good guild that does alot of the end content (10 man and 25 man raids) you rearly get the feel of comminity spirt and friendship. However there are some idiots that play the game and to combat this, blizzard allow the user an ignore button so if anyone does get on your nerves you can just ignore them, they also have a GM function witch helps with any in game issues.

The game its self has fantasic graphics for an online game, the settings are nothing short of stunning and the visual and sound effects are top draw too. Now if you have a high end pc you will enjoy this game to its full potental. However it is designed to run on a laptop with 256 memory so if you turn off all the effects and gfx down to minimum you can play just not as visual as it could be.

As for the acutal content of the game, you can have up to 10 characters per account and can choose either horde or alliance to play. There are thousands of quests in this game and it is virutally impossible to complete them all unless you play 24/7 and are rearly hardcore. WIth the new daliy quest feature now there is always something to do, and somewhere to go. Even at level 1 the starting quests give you a general idea on how the quests procede threwout the game, "go to the cave and slay 10 workers", and an indcator will appear and count how many you have killed until the quest is completed. This is the general function of quests and its pretty easy to understand. But the great thing about warcraft is the addons you can download made by 3rd partys that are incorpriated into the game, these are available from www.curse.com and these help and improve the game considerably by making it alot easier with mods like quest helper and Raid assist.

With the growning number of expansions and patches with new content in this game it is a fantasic purchase they maybe a small monthly fee to subscribe to the game but it is worth it considering how addictive and how good this game is. Also blizzard allow the customer to buy gamecards these are subcription cards available to buy over the counter to use to subcribe to warcraft so those that dont have a card can play :).

I for one will contiune to play warcraft as i think it is a brilliant purchase now if you havent play warcraft yet, ask someone that does and they can get you a free pass for 14 days if you subcribe after that you could earn your friend 30 days free!.

Now im off to kill some more horde wuahahaha.

If you want to know what character and server i play on send me a mail on here and ill tell you :)

OVERALL

GRAPHICS: 10/10: - If you have a good system the graphics are brilliant.
MUSIC: 4/10: - Blizzard set the tone with some good songs for the area your in, but i tend to listen to my playlist as its not that great.
SOUND FX: 10/10: Blizzard are spot on here , the sound effects are top class.
LASTABLITY : 10/10: 3 Years and im still playing, i have to say this is the longest ive played any game :)
VALUE: 8/10: The subcription might put a few people off but with new content coming out all the time it is worth the subcription in my opinon.

OVERALL: 9/10: A fanastic online game, but will the rise of warhammer online and Conan de-throne the king of MMORPGS? we shall wait and see :)
