In The Name Of The King!

Ive just finished watching in the name of the king, and i have too say after all i heard and read about this so called "awful" movie, i have too say they must have been watching something else!.

Alough the idea came from the Dungon Siege games as the movie is loosly based on the series, it is an epic tale of a man called Farmer played very well by Jason Statham, with a very good cast supporting him, i felt for him threw the entire movie, some may argue that the acting threw the entire movie wasnt up to scratch, the only person who i didnt believe did very well was Matthew Illidard, when he was on screen his performances would be better on stage than the big screen. Apart from that the acting was very good, i felt for farmer and hes cause. Ray Liotta is always a good choice for a bad guy and he plays the villian very well threw out the movie. And there is some humor in the movie with a few one liners from Ray which did make me chuckle.

The fight scenes are good and well constructed, the effects are good also and the soundtrack behind every scene is good as well. Well it may not be up there with the likes of Lord of the rings and Gladiator for terms of epic movie, being just under 2hrs long and keeping me interested is no small feet.

It makes a welcome change from Jason Stathams recent movies and its nice to see him playing a more humain role as Farmer. Of course his action scenes are amazing and his fighting skills are simply on another level. He demonstrates in this movie how good he is with a sword as well as his feet.

I wont spoil the plot as i think its rather good, but i do urge you to see this movie for what it is, a fun filled epic adventure with some good fight scenes effects and a reasonable plot. But if you go into this movie expecting something awsome you wont be dissapointed. But if you compare this to other movies of course it isnt going to be as good, so judge it on its own merit, and i for one found this movie rather good and i will defenetly watch it again.

OVERALL

STORY: 8/10 :- An excellent story, what you expect from the dungon siege writers.
ACTING: 7/10 :- Apart from mathrew illiard spoiling this movie everything was good.
SOUND: 9/10:- I cant flaw the sound track or effects it is flawless and suits the film perfectly.
STYLE: 10/10 :- I truely felt i was watching another world and a completly different part of the earth. The scenes are top quality and i couldnt tell a set from a location.

OVERALL: 8/10 - An excellent adventure, and enjoyable too. I hope they make more of these movies.
