What the... HELL?! Look, I realize today is April Fools Day and everyone's going to be making up all kinds of crazy movie news , but let me tell you. This is 100% legit and wow are people gonna crap their pants when they read this.
Looks like
Paramount Pictures are gearing up for a new retelling of the "
The Godfather Trilogy." Word is that the studio thinks it's a good time to bring back some new life into this classic and critically praised film series. *not including the third one I hope" Now this new trilogy will focus mainly on the rise of Vito Corleone as Godfather unlike the orginal film series which was mainly focused on Michael Corleone played by Al Pacino. Wait? Didn't Godfather 2 already tell this story masterfully? Guess not. The one interesting bit about this article is that the studio was actually considering Christian Bale to play Vito Corleone, but due to his film schedule involving the new Terminator films, the studio is now considering getting an unknown actor to fill Vito's shoes.
Well enough of my talk. Let's get on with the news.

Shocking news today from Hollywood. Industry insiders today leaked word that Paramount Studios will be remaking Francis Ford Coppola's Godfather series. Paramount has received Francis Ford Coppolas blessing to go forward with the project in in hopes to appeal to todays younger audiences; much like their upcoming reboot of the "Star Trek" film series. Paramount Studios will be making an official announcement later in the week.
Inside sources working close to the project say that the first film will take place in 1901, in the town of Corleone in Sicily, at the funeral procession for young Vito's father, Antonio Andolini, who has been ordered to be killed by the local Mafia chieftain, Don Ciccio. From there the trilogy will be mainly focused on young Vitos rise to power all the way to his eventual death as seen in the original Godfather film.
Insider buzz also indicated that "Dark Knight" star Christian Bale was considered for the role of Vito Corleone, as played by both Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro, but with his involvement in McG's new Terminator trilogy this will likely not happen, so the studio is considering having a unknown audition for the role. As of now there is no director attached and no release date set. We'll keep you posted as soon as more news comes out.
Jeez. Talk about another unnecessary remake. God.. when will this madness end. Now I hope someone will take charge of this situation so this will not happen. Hopefully on a fishing boat trip. TWO MEN ENTER! ONE MAN LEAVES!
