Agreed Soul. I would hate to see the horror genre approach saturation (no pun intended) with these re-made films.
Interestingly enough, Hollywood might become the new Bollywood ;-) (at least for horror anyway)

You know after hearing about all the live action versions of some great anime coming out soon from hollywood (akira, dragonball, blood) we will likely see a mass re-imagining/raping of most anime propeties, so give it a couple of years of rapage and you'll end up having crap like Paris Hilton starring in Sailormoon movie or the lead guy from High School Musical in Pok'e'mon. We'll all end up hating them all and saying the same thing as we do with j-horror these days

Cyrus. A little culture correction here. The original Shutter was a Thai film, Thai as in from Thailand. Not Taiwanese. Two totally different cultures.

Enough of these god-damn J-horror movies, there has never been a good horror movie that spawned off of a japanese horror movie (unless Gothika was a remake of one, i don't know).

Wait a minute. If this is in Taiwanese, it is still considered a Japanese Horror?
Anyways, I don't see how the American version will be any better if I see it.
