I've seen a few movies since my last blog post:
There Will Be Blood: WOW. I was amazed at how good this movie actually was. Only because when a movie has a lot of hype I'm usually prepared to be disappointed, but I SO wasn't! The two hours and thirty seven minutes of glory flew by.
Charlie Bartlett: I'm usually not a fan of the high school dramity, but I really enjoyed it. I laughed, a lot, and I almost cried at one point. No joke. It's one of the better high school movies that I've seen in awhile. I know, "What about Superbad?" Well, Superbad, in my opinion, is very overrated. The only parts that mad me laugh were anything involving McLovin and the cops. I got that movie expecting to be driven to tears, and I was driven to extreme disappointment. Now I'm rambling.
No Country For Old Men: It deserves all the hype it's getting and the oscar. I don't care what the spill crew said. I thought the ending worked. Seriously. I was at the edge of my seat the whole movie.
Be Kind Rewind: Such a dispointment. When I found out that Michel Gondry directed it I was so prepared to see a great and creative movie. The trailer, I will admit, even made the movie look funny. I was so wrong. I was bored, almost fell asleep, and almost walked out. Don't waste ten dollars on this movie like I did.
Vantage point: I had NO desire to go see this, at all. I went because my friend did. I expected to hate it. I will admit, it wasn't PERFECT, but what does perfect mean anyway? I was at the edge of my seat and enjoying every minute of it. It had a very very good car chase, and a few good twists and turns. I wasn't bored one second of this movie. It was a very nice surprise. Don't let the "rental" review stop you. Go see it for yourself.
All in all, I had a pretty good couple of days.
