The Falling Man is a famous photograph taken during the attacks on September 11th. This one

particular photo shows of a man who had jumped from one of the towers that had been hit. The next day after the attacks the photo was publish in newspapers around the world, it cause such an outcry from many that the photo was never seen again. I'm not really sure why I watched this, cause anything that reminds me of that day just makes me depressed and makes me sick to my stomach. But I had never seen this famous picture before, and I just became curious myself. Really the documentary was trying not only tell the story of the picture itself, but to also uncover the identity of the Falling Man. It is believed at the end that a restaurant worker named Jonathan Briley may have been that man, and shows evidence that could back up that claim. I myself in the end came to believe so as well. But the documentary isn't just a hunt for one mans identity but one reporters obsession. Tom Junod spent years trying to uncover who the Falling Man might be. And he also explains how the American public tried to overlook the fact that people did indeed jump. Some tried to cover it up by saying that those people didn't jump but in fact were blown out of the buildings. I just found this to be a very interesting documentary, it's still sad and depressing. But I did like the fact that they were trying to uncover the truth about one very powerful photograph, and the outcome in the end it very moving and makes sense. (For those who may be interested in watching the movie I watched it online in its full version.)
