First off the reason I have not reviewed anything in so long is because I have not seen any films in such a long time, to busy doing other things to sit and watch films these days. The other day however I was back in my home town and one of my old School friends asked if I would like to watch your highness at the cinema with another of my friends. I accepted, the film that followed was... questionable. 

The film follows Thadeous (Danny McBride) and Fabious (James Franco) as they embark on a quest to save a captive princess from a wizards tower before the said wizard rapes her in front of his own three mothers. This is a comedy...

The film is never boring, but it never has any moments which I think, yeah this is brilliant, or oh my god this is so funny. This is like pineapple express if it was set in a mystical world and had all the funniest scenes and jokes removed from it.

None of the action scenes are impressive or original and everything felt like it had been done before, this film may be a parody, but films like the classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail did this kind of mediaeval parody so much better. This film was also riddled with ridiculous plot holes, the main characters should have and would have been killed numerous times.

The only scene that I found really funny was when Thadeous claimed an X-rated trophy from a Minotaur he killed, but having penis joke being the funniest joke in the film just confirms its lack of lasting appeal or originality.

Overall Your highness is set to be forgotten very quickly, it is a small fart of a film. A slightly amusing fart.
