2009 Summer Movie Reviews

fantastic!
screw those critics, I suppose they are just not big fans of summer blockbusters
I gotta give the filmmakers credit fo trying to cram so much material under an hr and a half
Hugh Jackman gives his all as Wolverine
the movie is fierce, fast-paced, visceral and action packed
alot of emotional moments as well
to me, u pretty much get what's delivered to set up the events of the X-Men trilogy
I guess my real concern was the involvement of sooo many other characters from the X-Men universe and that they were trying to cover Logan's entire backstory
now you know they are planning more spinoffs for mutants such as Gambit and Deadpool
I'm all for it

it was amazing!
thank God for J.J. Abrams rebooting this franchise
at 1st it's like what's goin on but you do catch on
this movie is for old and new Trekkies :)
the acting is very good, great special FX of course, the cast is well-assembled and the humor is very clever
Spock was my favorite, next to Kirk and Nero
my only 2 complaints: the pacing could have been better handled and the score could have been better orchestrated
I mean in a lot of parts it was just way over the top
and I agree, it's this year's 'Iron Man'
Iron Man kinda followed the same blueprint being executed
luckily the next 2 movies are in works and I hope they can surpass
"Long live and prosper..."

pretty good film
a LARGE step-up from the slow and boring Da Vinci Code
naturally the book is better cause there's more to explain
the movie is faster-paced, thrilling, and the characters take you on the adventure with them
some of the ideas may seem preposterous but it's a summer movie that never lets up
:)

this is the best Terminator installment since T2
the emotion and action were well balanced out
it ties everything together in the chain of events to come
the homages were extremely clever to the past movies
Arnold's cameo didn't disappoint either
Bale pulls it off great as John Connor, Worthington's performance as Marcus Wright is very convincing

the next couple movies are on the way
can't wait for more suprises and so many turns :)

hugely entertaining movie
a large step up from the 1st one
more humor, more wittyness and more neat visuals
it made me very connected to the characters too
Amy Adams as Amelia Earheart did a splendid job
Ben Stiller is good as ever
Hank Azaria is goofy and sounds too much like Stewie
oh well, this is a definite family-friendly flick to make for summer fun

u'll laugh quite a lot in this movie
it's worth the ticket price alone ;)

at this point its almost impossible to rate a PIXAR film
UP has all the right elements in terms of plot, heart, humor and feeling good
it's pretty mature for its caliber but the kids can use some reality check once in a while as long as u attach a happy ending

PIXAR doesn't disappoint, I imagine more great films to come :)

brilliant horror movie
Sam Raimi is back to his good ol' B-movie low-budget filmmaking
the movie is very well made, creepy atmosphere, eerie music, dark imagery and clever scares
it doesnt follow the same pattern as other cheesy horror movies, no cliches involved
I love this movie, it's like a big chocolate cake u can gobble up

its a horror movie that we can all appreciate

good and rather funny
Will Ferrel is still on top
the plot could have been more constructive but it entertains
The T-Rex brought me back to Jurassic Park
the vision of the movie is very creative, Ive never seen the TV show but I bet its just as appealing

this is a nice little summer movie to sit back and relax at

I absolutely loved this movie!
the plots pretty formulaic but it has charm
you will laugh alot
Ryan and Sandra have terrific chemistry together
this is worth the ticket price alone

to hell with those critics! why cant they just let loose and have fun during the summer?
this movie was alot more entertaining than the 1st one
my only problem with Revenge of the Fallen is that I felt they made up the story as they went along
the action and special effects kicked ass, I loved the new Decepticons
I may have to re-watch this movie just so I can follow the convoluted plot
but hey its Michael Bay, the guy knows how to keep us excited and thrilled

its all about the robots isnt it?
go see this and ignore all those critics who are hating it

it was so much freakin fun!
I had a blast
its non-stop action and thrills
remains somewhat faithful to the old cartoon show
the movie moved very fast and was exciting
the next two movies better be good as this one
cant wait to see more mayhem ensue from Cobra Commander and Destro

my fav characters were The Baroness, Scarlett, RipCord, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Destro! :)
this is what summer is all about

a terrific movie
makes the sci-fi genre interesting again
this is a prime example of original, emotional writing
the whole idea of aparteid with the 'aliens' is handled quite delicately
the metaphor is quite remarkable and speaks out

this is one of the better films of this year!

It made me smile all the way thru
the film is far from originality but it has a certain tone and charm
Vanessa is awesome, its cool to see her play a new character
Gaelan is a good actor
Im surprised by how much maturity was in this movie
the best thing about Bandslam is that it avoids those clunky, goofy teen antics in past films
the music is excellent too, you'll tap ur feet to alot of the songs
the funniest scene had to be the kissing scene cause it was so awkward and unexpected :)

this is the best movie this summer and my 2nd best film all year!

and now to wrap up the summer of 2009.....
this was a good movie
its better than the 3rd one
the deaths are awesome and must be seen in 3D
the movie does have a fair amount of humor too
the cast may be full of unknowns but thankfully the 3D deaths keep u entertained
is this the last movie in the franchise....we'll just have to wait and see
