I saw the first one in theaters and liked it decently, nothing too special, but once I saw the trailer for this sequel I made up my mind... SOME OLE BULLSHIT!!!

@ TAGibby4 , hahahaha! ,don't worry man!............... sarge "hulka" left me stranded here in Italy taking care of a military secret project and i'm getting bored,so i'm gonna take for a ride the urban assault vehicle and go to Germany to pick up the girls..............see ya!

@EM-50 I'm pretty sure when they tore that one guy up at the end and raised his organs in the air to divide amongst one another the implication was that they were feasting on him. You don't have to actually see it to know that it's happening. But my point is, like it or not, it's considered to be a horror film, and it's also considered to be the first horror "found footage" film. You're welcome to claim The McPherson Tapes as the first Sci-Fi found footage film if you want. I just don't want to argue with Bill Murray anymore. It's traumatizing me. :-(

@TAGibby4, the subject is scary but this movie wasn't about the unknown, this movie was a bout a group of assholes students going to the amazons ,they burned a village down, rape a native woman, another native woman gets kill because of them and when they arrive to another village ,shoot and kill a few natives, the rest of the natives got pissed off and killed the students. "the students were assholes even between them" , so basically the movie wasn't about the natives hunting down the students and eating them, was about the students behaving like stupid assholes and getting killed by putting themselves in danger.....i remember when i saw this movie back in the 80's ,at the end of the movie ,i gave a standing ovation to the natives for getting rid of this group of stupid assholes.

the movie is called "cannibal holocaust" but you never see the natives chewing on corpses, we see them chopping a few corpses and even cooking one corpse but we never see them chewing on them.

@EM-50 It's not a snuff film. The animals being killed was real, but there were no real dead bodies. That was just a popular rumor at the time. A horror film is a film that's has scary elements, Amazon cannibals killing and feasting on tourists is a scary subject, more so when it came out in 1980. I think some would even put cannibals on the same level as zombies and zombies are HUGE in horror films.Just because it doesn't have ghosts or aliens or monsters doesn't mean it's not a horror film. Horror is about the unknown, and nobody knew what to expect when it came to this movie. Heck, I remember being scared by the cover box when I was little.  Just because you don't find it scary doesn't mean it's not qualified to be a horror film.

@ TAGibby4, i just watched the movie a few hours a go and i still don't understand why people called a horror movie, because it's not............. lets recap the movie for a few seconds, the movie  started with a rescue team going to the amazon forest to rescue a group of students, that went to the amazons to study the cannibal tribes living in there,( the first part of the movie(50 to 60 minutes) are filmed like a normal movie), in those 50 to 60 minutes the only things that happens are a monkey get his brains eaten, a native girl gets raped,a native girl with a bad make up getting prepared to get cooked and we see a lot of nudity (not of the good kind),then the rescue team finds the tapes of the students brought em' back to u.s.a and we watch what happened to them......in those last 30 minutes of movie we watch a jaguar getting killed,a turtle getting killed and a snake getting killed, the students acting like assholes burning the village of the natives, a mild sex scene, the students raping a native girl,a girl found impaled, then the natives getting pissed off and attack em' back chopping a dick off from one of the students and chopping him into pieces and then the girl of the group of students getting raped till death and getting her head shopped off(have in mind that in some of the scenes you can see different camera angles........even in places where no one of the student were near) and the found footage is constantly being interrupted by scenes of the peoples reaction in a tv studio to the footage they're watching and talking a lot of shit if they could show it on tv.(this scenes are filmed like a normal movie) so at the end we have a movie where nothing happens till the last minutes of movie and is barely a found footage movie because in 1 hour and 30 minutes of movie you only watch 30 minutes of found footage,( one of the worst thing they did with this movie was to use all those 70's porn movies sound effects....that was just awful)

so i don't know if the movie really qualifies as a horror movie. if you ask me ,i'll say that this movie is more a snuff film(remember that they use real cadavers for some of the scenes).

Funny part about area 407 was right after they crashed, instead of the plane looking like it did on abc's 'lost', it looked like it was missing 90 percent of its parts and was there for over a year. NO fire, no smoke, no parts on the ground. Terrible movie.
