If the Professor and Kevin want to better police the online console environment then they should be really excited for the PS4/720 and their social network. What Sony showed is a social network where you are registered under your real name and a gamer tag and you can probably control who sees your name and who sees your tag. You will also be likely registered with your age so there could be filtering options built right into PSN. With this development we lose this solitary nature of console (if you choose to do so, there will be an offline option) gaming but we gain a much  more friendly environment.

These console reveal conferences aren't really for us gamers but for publishers/developers. That's why they used to have sales data, to attract publishers to support the platform.

When it comes to online behavior i think we should have an ebay type rating system to where you should have to build a reputation in order to get into certain games or rooms.  Negative feedback would hinder you from joining rooms to play in certain games or simply request a certain reputation rating in order to join your own games like how sellers have to on ebay / amazon etc.Even feedback would be nice, to see what people are like online when it comes to others.

Oh and on the final boss for Rising you only need to line up 3 boxes for the debris, not 4 :P.

I may be mistaken, but did Jeff say they lowered DmC's sale expectations to 800,000? Because that is a mistake. DmC's sales lowered by 800,000 of the original expectation which was 2 million by the end of the fiscal year (which is the end of March I believe). The sales target is now 1.2 million and they did not change this before the game came out, they changed it 2 weeks after release when they saw that it would not reach their original expectations. Honestly, I still think 1.2 million is too high. From how I've seen from the media, fans, and some of Capcom's statements I think the game may have been a flop.

And to the caller that I was talking about gamers complaining, I don't see why that is a bad thing. If people didn't complain then nothing would get improved. If people didn't complain about Aliens Colonial Marines then nobody would have called Gearbox on their bullshit. The majority of gamers do not complain for no reason, I've explained this countless of times, there is a reason why people complained about DmC. There are complaints about the game itself, but a lot of the backlash comes from Capcom and NT's treatment of the fans.
