Comment by Sam Hill on February 17, 2013 at 12:09am It sounds like RU because it's said so fast, just as desu can sound like DES. Slowed down, they respectively are pronounced ree-yoo and deh-soo.
Comment by Bluebloodoutbreak on February 6, 2013 at 11:23pm Ryu is not pronounce as Ri-Yu...but instead it is pronounce RU....I lived in Japan for six month and learned to speak Japanese...!!!!

Comment by Dublin Mike on February 5, 2013 at 3:11pm Nostalgia factor kicking in. I remember playing Ninja Gaiden for hours on end. Even the sequel was great.
Any chance of Double Dragon? Or Golden Axe for the Genesis?
Comment by Boatloads1017 on February 5, 2013 at 12:12pm Seriously, why does Piccolo want to kill you in Act II of Ninja Gaiden?
Comment by RenegadeBanner on February 5, 2013 at 4:49am angry video game nerd. That is all.
Comment by Hi, My Name's Matty on February 5, 2013 at 4:12am All three of these games are on my NES top ten list, along with Blaster Master, Metroid and the original Zelda.
It's times like these where I remember just how old I actually am and it scares me that I'm older than two guys who sound older than I am. I had plenty of experience with the Master System and the release of Sonic 2 on it was an attempt to keep their older console relevant after the Game gear and Genesis/Mega Drive were released. The interesting thing about the system was that it had a cartridge slot for "beefy" 8 meg games and a card slot for games that weren't as powerful but also had the LCD shutter 3D glasses that plugged into the slot.
Also anyone who played NG probably had a place where they could goto play the arcade version which lead to their annoyance when the NES version came out and didn't play the same (much like Capcom's Strider and Bionic Commando) but it did already have a health bar so it's not like anyone was missing the 1 or 2 hit deaths from other games at the time. NG was also the beginning of the story driven cutscene which back in the day were awesome, if they weren't still images would orgasm over pixelated fully animated cutscenes. but these days everyone pitches a fit if a cutscene goes on longer than 60 seconds with spectacular effects in HD.
