As a huge fan of both Tom Hardy and the first two 'Mad Max' films, I have been chomping at the bit to see Geroge Miller's 'Mad Max: Fury Road.' Hardy steps into the role of The Road Warrior (aka Max), a part made iconic by Mel Gibson. Up to now, we've seen a few pics from the set, but nothing beats video. Today's production video shows a number of the movie's vehicles in action. It may not be as exciting as the added dramatic music would have you believe, but it is pretty cool to see these motorized monsters of the wasteland in action. Take a look at the video below and let us know what you think.

'Mad Max: Fury Road' is set for release sometime in 2014

I like how that the only vehicles to survive any apocalypse are always hot rods and semi-trucks :D

OK, a bunch of trucks moving yay.

When I finally saw the Mad Max movies, I didn't get the appeal.  That being said, the vehicles in this look like the vehicles in those films so it is a good sign that they will be faithful to them, unlike the Robocop reboot.

I couldn't stop laughing at the raised up hot rod at the end. I thought there was supposed to be an acute shortage of fuel around in these films, but that hot rod looks like it would get about 10 miles to the gallon...

As iconic as Gibsons portrayal of Mad Max may be, this is one reboot I'm lookin forward to as Gibson's become one of those actors I just can't take seriously anymore, every time I see him I just think of what a jerk he's been and what a complete psychotic asshole he apparently is. Tom Hardy on the other hand, I got plenty of respect for, and is in my opinion a far superior actor and more interesting performer.

As for the vid, those post-apocalyptic vehicles are lookin pretty sweet - not much to go on but a good sign for things to come.

I'm gravely disappointed by the lack of ACTION in this video. VideaVice will not be defied but still ready for her 2014 Mad Max extravaganza. *Can't wait!*
