DevilishlyHandsome49 posted a statusBlue Sky Studios, the CG company responsible for 'Robots,' 'Rio,' and the 'Ice Age' films is gearing up for their next animated adventure 'Epic.' The story centers on a little girl who finds herself in the middle of a battle between good and evil when she is shrunken to the size of a sprite. 'Epic' will feature the voice talents of Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried, and Beyonce Knowles. This new poster for the film plays up the battle story elements while simultaneously kind of reminding us of the poster for 'Rise of the Guardians.' I'm curious, especially since the movie comes out in four months and this is the first I've heard of it. Take a look at the poster below and let us know what you think.
'Epic' hits theaters May 24th

Comment by Greybob on January 15, 2013 at 7:55pm I kind of like the art style but the animation in the trailers looks a little off to me. It's somewhat choppy and stiff when people move. Maybe it's something they'll fix up before release.
Comment by Patrick Hollowell on January 15, 2013 at 10:01am this looks real Fern Gully-ish to me......
Comment by Constable Bryce on January 13, 2013 at 11:14pm @Jojotogi~ He's utilized very well on Parks and Rec, but other than that I agree.
Comment by Jojotogi on January 12, 2013 at 4:41pm The sight of that smiling slug killed any interest I had in this movie. I'm fine with goofy comic relief, but considering he's being voiced by Aziz Ansari (who I think is funny but who's never used well, and, let's face it, has a kind of grating voice), I think I'll pass.
If this film serves any purpose, it'll stop dumbasses from missing the word "epic," if only because they don't want to be associated with a kiddy cartoon.

Comment by Kelly on January 11, 2013 at 4:59am Agree with the other comments about the title, on first impression it sounds like it could be pretentious, but we'll see.
Comment by Kelly on January 11, 2013 at 4:55am Incidentally, Rise of the Guardians and Epic are both based on books by William Joyce. Didn't know what to feel about this movie from the first trailer, but the newest one got me interested.
Comment by OneFunRun on January 11, 2013 at 4:50am really looking at it you can tell each role the characters are going to play unless there is a huge plot twist I feel epic looks predicable.
