The question all of us undoubtedly ask when hearing about a new Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger project is whether they are too old to be action heroes anymore. Though both appeared in 'The Expendables 2' last year, the question as to their ability to helm solo actioners remains and is more and more in doubt with each passing year. A brand new clip from Arnie's upcoming outing, 'The Last Stand,' actually makes a joke about that very age concern. Jee-woon Kim's ('The Good, The Bad, The Weird') new film finds Schwarzenegger playing the sheriff of a small town, a town that becomes the last line of defense against an escaped drug lord en route to Mexico. The clip is...fine. My concern is that, while Arnie does make the joke about his age, he also does little in the scene other than run from point A to point B. I hope we're not going to experience a 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' issue wherein all our hero can do is move somewhat quickly. Take a look at the clip below and let us know what you think.

'The Last Stand' hits theaters January 18th

Ageing action stars need to realise that constantly making jokes about how old they are is really starting to get... old. If they really wanna be clever and self-referential about it the dialogue shoulda been "somethin wrong Sheriff?" "yeah, I can't act for shit!"

Ugh... This director is one of my favorites... I hope this turns out somewhat ok, I would like to see him get some good work in American cinema. Maybe, an american horror movie in the style of A Tale of Two Sisters? (not The Uninvited mind you). He is hoping it turns out to not be as shit as it looks.

This movie does not look good. Lets hope it is not like a expendables movie.

Zware, he is directing it, the end all be all, never falls on the director.

And Really? Old Clip? Really?

Nothing from this movie has me interested, none of those trailers and clips worked for me. The movie i am interested in though is the one he has coming out with Stallone that takes place in jail.
