Comment by RepoMan5000 on January 21, 2013 at 6:46pm Heh.. There's no 1994 here. The movie takes place in 2012. They go to great lengths to cover up all the dates, but you can catch it on one of the tombstones - Heather's grandma died in 2012.

Comment by Alex Thompson on January 8, 2013 at 12:08am Twisted pictures is planning to make this the next Saw franchise...
Mazzocone used to run production at Twisted Pictures, the company behind the hugely profitable series about a serial killer named Jigsaw. And when he pitched a Leatherface revival to the Chainsaw rights holders in 2009, he brought along DVDs of the first six Saw movies. "I gave them a small speech," the producer says. "Something like 'Fellas, you have a magnificent horror franchise that has been grossly mismanaged over the years. If you give us the right to six [new movies], we'll do for you what we did for Saw.' Fifteen minutes later, we left with a deal."

Uhhh...Have you READ Charlie & the Chocolate Factory? They didn't add that just to make him tragic. They added it because that story has pretty much no plot once Charlie steps foot inside the factory. It's a movie, they can't just have "and Charlie lived happily ever after for the next hour, with no ups or downs." They had to add a twist or something, just like the first movie attempt at making the movie did.
Comment by KayCeeD on January 7, 2013 at 9:50pm I hate it when movies try to give a mysterious character a backstory. In "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory". I remember (after seeing it for free at my college's theater), these idiot girls in front of me were talking about how "OMG, you know....he's that way because his father didn't teat him right! He never got to be a kid! Awe poor Willie Wonka, and he's so hawt!!" Urgh. I don't want to know his backstory, he's supposed to be mysterious. I agree that sometimes sequels or remakes try to explain when they don't need to.
Comment by Eraserheaded on January 7, 2013 at 10:37am I will be seeing this sometime this week...me being the one for the nostalgic the director of this seems keen enough to make it the....strict...erudite sequel we never got. But by the sounds of Co-Hosts reactions and ideals i am a bit disheartened!
Comment by Steve Holt! on January 7, 2013 at 7:23am January movies... let the shit storm of hilarious reviews begin!!!
Comment by Robert Michel on January 7, 2013 at 6:08am Poor Co-Host. We feel your pain, your suffering ... and it gives us great entertainment.
Well, that's what a horror movie is supposed to do, isn't it?
This review did what the movie they were reviewing was supposed to do, better than the movie did.
And that is why we love Spill.com.
(If only Spill.com made more than 20 million over a single weekend, huh?)
