If you thought that first trailer for J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek Into Darkness' was good, this latest one is absolutely astounding. Dramatic, well-cut, and featuring some very juicy images that will no doubt fuel the fires of geek speculation over the next few days. But for now, let us just bask in the incredible, awe-inspiring glory that is the second 'STID' trailer. Look long, and wonder.

Squeek!  I'm tired of trying to guess about the villain.  Abrams just plays with our heads and I curse his evil genius.

@0:27

Is Chris Pine starting to really look like Shatner, or is it just me?

Anyways, great trailer, and I can't wait for Star trek into Darkness! :D

@Anthony Stokes

Have you ever seen the original Star Trek? It was a very smart show that wasn't placating to the masses. Personally I don't like a lot of what Abrams has done with the franchise, everyone on the ship now is an "amazing fighter," or "supergenius," which was never the case with the original star trek. However, I'm not saying it's a fault with the film, I understand why Abrams made these changes and he did them very well. Also I didn't mean to imply the first star trek was dumb but rather, (considering is was a big blockbuster)  smart. I'm not saying it's a bad thing it is mass produced for everyone even though doing this diminishes the directors creative capabilities, but personally it's not as good as the original star trek. I enjoyed the first Abrams film a lot and am looking forward to the second.

@zware what do you mean no longer? It's only one movie. And the way it handled everything was very smart. The way it appeals to everyone is not a bad thing in this case it's done well ju And I haven't seen the prologue, but form what I've heard it sounds like classic scifi and super intriguing

Okay, here's the next big clue on Khan that I dug up with this prologue and this trailer. The writers said that this villain will have a very conflicting goal, and that he'll be sympathetic for it. As you know, Bandersnatch approached the father in the prologue about his dying daughter and said "I can save her." You might think "bad guy with healing powers", here's what I thought Khan is a eugenics guy, strong, superior, probably can't get sick, so what if he's trying to earn sympathy and support from the public for his idea of a genetically superior world by saving this child with some serum? And in this trailer the father is seen putting something in a glass of water, could that be the serum?
