New 'Lone Ranger' Trailer
Get ready to ride into another trailer for Disney's 'The Lone Ranger.' Armie Hammer slides into the saddle for this take on the classic hero with Johnny Depp accompanying as his faithful companion Tonto. This new trailer certainly provides more exposition as to the Ranger's backstory, and also gives us an indication of what the overall aesthetic of the film will be. I'm still skeptical. It may have something to do with Depp's Tonto relying a lot on his Jack Sparrow schtick or maybe the weird apparent mix of 'Wild Wild West' and 'Jonah Hex.' We'll see. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Let's see, Tonto takes up most of the screen time, Depp's name comes before Armie Hammer's, and the title card near the end of the trailer features a crow, not the Lone Ranger mask.
Call me crazy, but this is a Lone Ranger movie, right?

@james osi Id disagree Denzel has range but unfortuanetly for black actors they can't be chameleons like other races. But Will Smith has absolutely zero range u are right

Is it to late to CGI OFF that damn dead bird of Capt Jack Sparrow head? Or are we simply going for the "Captain Jack Tonto" look? Is he from the "Crow" indian nation? And where are the werewolves I read so much about earlier? Where is all the $$ Capt Jack? I am sorry, but as a kid in the 50's, I had everything there was related to the lone ranger...And Johnny Depp? He looks like he has been to one to many peyote sweat lodges....This is simply fuckin with my childhood....

Think I'll pass on this one. (Was anyone actually clamoring for a Lone Ranger film? They should'a done Bravestar.)
