Comment by Rolina on December 11, 2012 at 7:26pm Um, guys? The fact that it has a separate charger is BRILLIANT. You don't have to be near the device to charge it now! Just plug it into to whatever plug is closest in your bedroom or bathroom and yer good to go!
Comment by DJ Milez on December 9, 2012 at 3:21pm I agree with Jeff. I think it's neat and pretty cool to have if you have one, but I can patiently wait until I hear what the system has to offer in the upcoming months. Plus I think I can speak for a lot us when I say we are all curious about the new Ps4/720 (whatever they call it) can bring onto the plate to compete against this. And if the Nintendo Wii U can bring me (Dead Space 3, Bioshock Infinite, The new Tomb Raider, etc) then I might purchase this sooner than later but I doubt that those games will be on Wii U, at least not for now anyway.
Comment by Angel Vargas on December 8, 2012 at 11:53pm My roommate bought one and its in the living room. Not having bought it, its freaking awesome! Nintendoland is so damn fun.
Comment by RamónLimón on December 7, 2012 at 9:32pm doesn't anyone else think this is gimmicky beyond reproach? I have an xbox and because of certain awesome nintendo games (brawl, Link, etc) a wii. the game pad just seems like the new motion sensors, something that doesnt add all that much to gameplay. also why the fuck would you watch netflix on the controller screen, thats like me choosing to watch netflix on and ipad while i have a fucking 50 inch tv that can run netflix through my xbox fifteen feet away.
Comment by Joshua Balcombe on December 7, 2012 at 8:51pm Lol, do you really think they did the controller charger thing on purpose? One extra power outlet isn't the worst thing for true hd finally being available.
Comment by Lunatik on December 7, 2012 at 6:19pm i wanna play Aliens:Colonial marines on this system.

Comment by Wizpig on December 7, 2012 at 2:29pm @ lexloco this is true, the first thing they teach in computer science hardware is that the costs of keeping a chip small enough to fit in a computer or console and to perform better is an exponential function in terms of price increase in relation to time & progress (rough summary).

Serious gaming means something completely different than what you're getting at. You're just talking about the average Joe playing games. not anything legit about it since you're not making any money out of it. Honestly Pikmin is in the same level as Assasin's creed.
Comment by lexloco on December 7, 2012 at 2:18pm I do think PS4/NeXtbox will be more powerful AND have a lot of the same multimedia features as WiiU and will probably package them more maturely, so I'm not rushing out to get a WiiU right now. I'm just saying that I don't think we can tell how powerful WiiU is based on their launch lineup, and since it will probably be the cheapest, it doesn't have to be as pretty as competitors so long as it can hold its own and play basically the same games. I dont' think it'll have trouble doing that because I don't think there's a lot of places for games left to go in terms of photorealism.
