I'm sorry guy's but this game is mediocre. The disguises are pretty much useless, it's linear as hell, and the story and characters are garbage.

Awesome review, but I thought I was the only one who wanted to see Freedom Fighters II, loved that game.

Some of the sections are small, but the path through them, and the decisions you make are far from linear. bigjig, you should really mess around with the contracts mode in Absolution. You can set up some pretty elaborate Hits in that mode. I played through a ton of them after i finished the game. Haven't heard much in the way of negative comments when it comes to Max Payne 3. What pass are you talking about? Hitman's getting all kinds of negative reviews. As a fan i understand the reaction, but as a gamer these reviews piss me the fuck off. Hitman Absolutin is a very high quality game, and the fanboy shit should take a back seat for reality's sake.

Not trying to sound antagonistic - just genuinely curious. Max Payne 3 was rated down because it differed from the original two games, but Hitman gets a pass? This game is great if you prefer Splinter Cell to Hitman, but if you're into the previous Hitman games you might walk away disappointed. You barely do any actual "hits" in this game - just stealthing through to the next checkpoint in a bunch of small, linear levels.

Its the first Hitman Game I've played through from beginning to end, and it was definitely a high price. Agree with everything, but it could have been WAY more violent and gory. I remember playing the blood money demo and the blood effects were way more advanced than what they are in this game. You moved a body, and it created blood trails. In this just a blood pool that was the same animation everytime! I mean not every wound makes a blood pool. Also I thought they could have had exploding limbs and all sorts of environmental damage. I mean, your enemies could shoot stone to pieces but you can't shoot through thin walls with high powered weapons?

Played through this on hard with guard patterns turned off when using instinct. Only had to kill everyone in a room twice, and it was justified. Best stealth game i've played in years...

I didn't mind the story structure. Even when a Kill isn't the objective, there's still plenty of killing to be done. Something tells me contracts will make a huge return in the next game, So stop crying fan boys. This is still the 47 you know and love, to see do his job.
