Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit' has enjoyed a parade of promotional material up to this point, but an entire scene from the movie? I don't think we've gotten one of those yet. This new clip may be short, but its importance cannot be overlooked. It is the moment in which Bilbo (Martin Freeman) is given his sword Sting by Gandalf (Sir Ian McKellen). Given how much that sword also factors into the 'Lord of the Rings'trilogy, it's a thrilling moment. Take a look at the clip below and let us know what you think.

'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' hits theaters December 14th

So far I haven't seen anything that comes close to the "(They are coming!)" clip for LoTR I.

I'm worried this movie's some kinda whimsical farce.

.....................these scene sucks........WTF ,,, why are they making Bilbo less by making Gandalf this mentor figure he wasn't in the story...I mean what is the point?

Comment by Fernando Palacios on November 29, 2012 at 2:23pm

hey!!!! that didn't happened in the book, Bilbo found the  sword by himself,,, he didn't need any one to proactive for him..and what the fuck is up with all this exposition ,,,Bilbo ain't dumb he figure out all of that again by himself, Jesus what happened to the rule of showing instead of telling
