Andrew Dominik's 'Killing Them Softly' is one of the remaining 2012 releases about which I am most excited. I can't wait to see the director of 'The Assassination of Jesse James' re-team with Brad Pitt for a crime noir. The first trailer for the film was cool, slick, and featured an outstanding usage of Johnny Cash music. This latest trailer, while giving us a few more plot details, falls short of the effectiveness of the earlier version. It's edited too much like a Guy Ritchie movie and the lack of Cash, yeah it doesn't help. Still, I'm really excited to see the film. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

'Killing Them Softly' hits theaters November 30th

It should say Co-Starring George W Bush and Barrack Obama. Weird gangster film that is not for everyone. I'm really looking forward to what the crew thinks of it.

This is an inferior, shorter version of the theatrical trailer. Still, the movie looks kick ass and I should not have watched these trailers.

"It's edited too much like a Guy Ritchie movie"

Is that supposed to be a bad thing?

I really didn't like it. I almost fell asleep.

Americans...be prepared.  This movie is really divisive, I love it, but almost everyone I know hates it.  People's problem with it is that its political/economic subtext isn't really a subtext...its what the whole movie is about, the actual plot isn't that special.  Like Savages (this is much better than that movie), every character represents a group of people.

So if you understand that going into it, you might like it more, its gorgeous and the acting is amazing, its violent as fuck and it has THE best last line I've heard in ages.

I think they overuse that Cash song. Plus it doesn't really go well with Brad Pitt, in my opinion.

But I am looking forward to this movie quite a bit!
