THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN: Volume 8, Issue 34: The Man With The Golden Pun

Our James Bond Extravaganza is kicked off by two pieces of amazingly good news, and we're then led through a history of 007 by Brian Salisbury that would've made Ian Fleming's head spin....but this IS a Brian-centric episode again, so of course it gets hijacked in the middle by an event to historic to ignore.

Re: Bond gadgets...  Made me think of a movie from Hong Kong called "From Beijing With Love".  It's a parody of Bond films, where the hero is a failed spy/fishmonger whose special weapon is a butcher cleaver.  He's sent on a special mission to recapture a missing dinosaur skeleton, and he meets with the government's 'weapon specialist', who is just crazy.  The gadgets he was working on were a solar-powered flashlight and a briefcase that transformed into a small stool (to sit on, while you are on surveilance).  There's also these...

Dear LEOG,

Every Monday, I go to my local bar and play a weekly trivia game hosted there. This week they asked a bunch of questions about the James Bond series, I got every single question right and won a 25 dollar gift card because of this episode! See kids, Spill.com can enrich your life.

Thanks League!

Pole Postion is a cartoon inspired by an old namco racing game(a very old rage racer/ridge racer type) but it got nothing to do with the actual formula 1 racing.

Brian and Leon are on meth. Diamonds are Forever is a terrible movie. I mean, it's great if you like it, but the reasons why anyone else wouldn't are pretty obvious IMO.
