One of the best parts of any new James Bond film is hearing the theme song. This franchise has a legacy of incredible music, and now the opening song from 'Skyfall'has been revealed in full. I have to say, I think Adele knocks it out of the goddamn park. The song is smoky, cool, and features beautiful hints of the James Bond theme itself. I could listen to this all day. Take a listen for yourself below and let us know what you think.

'Skyfall'lands in theaters November 9th

But my favorites are "License to Kill" & "Goldeneye"...."L incense to Kill" theme song is the best...

Oh I loved "Die Another Day" & I loved "The World Is Not Enough Theme Songs"....I thought they were two of the best

Alright, so I went back and listened to all the Bond theme songs since the 90's. I still stand behind my previous two choices, but I'll admit that Chris Cornell's "You Know My Name" has grown on me since I first heard it in the theater. I'm not a fan of Jack White's "Another Way to Die" (was that a rejected title for the movie or something?) and Madonna's "Die Another Day" was just awful. I'm a fan of Garbage (and looking forward to hearing their new album) but their rendition of "The World Is Not Enough" was pretty forgettable.

Not bad, Adele, not bad at all. Still, my favorite Bond songs of this generation are Sheryl Crow's "Tomorrow Never Dies" and Tina Turner's "Goldeneye". This one didn't blow me away like those former two did, but, like I said, this isn't bad at all...

Finally, a Bond song that actually sounds like a Bond Song, Even if it (admittedly) a bit over-simplified, this wins me over with the dark-brass tone and the well-matched purity of Adele's voice.

I was excited when I heard the news. I thought that Adele and a James Bond theme would go together like chocolate and peanut butter. This exceeded by expectations. It reminds me of the classic themes, while also having a touch of modernism. If the movie is as good as its theme, I really can't wait.

@Gift of the Magi I kind of agree with you(that jack white and alicia keys song was kinda garbage) but with this Adele song, I wish I was feeling it like everybody else. I think its trying to be like the old james bond songs which is cool, but I think it would've sounded better if they weren't GOING FOR the retro thing. Each james bond song was good for its originality and how it was used to depict the feature it was used in. But I love adele and always glad to see her make the music she wants to make.

I think Another Way to Die would have been ok if it wasn't because the vocals were all over the place.  Skyfall is good but I still like You Know My Name better.  Too bad they will never be able to use this one, the most bond like theme that has nothing to do with the franchise :)
