@Square Master, i couldn't agree with you more.

As for The Amazing Spider man this film was a huge disappointment's, this movie is the living embodiment of a by the book origin story and it isn't even all that great, there is no motivation for Peter or The Lizard, and i didn't see any real chemistry between both Garfield and Stone. So its a High Rental

Leon's opinion of Spider-Man 2 mirrors my own feelings about The Avengers.

this movie got the spiderman parts just right.

this movie ALSO got the peter parker parts right: everyone who disliked it and dismissed it as 'emo' or 'snarky' or 'mopey' or 'twilight' is forgetting the most pivotal point, which is that PETER PARKER IS A HIGH SCHOOL BOY!

all the reviews hating on Garfield's portrayal seem to come from reviewers who are JUST TOO OLD and have forgotten what that was like, being a 16, 17 year old awkward kid with a crush and identity issues. 500 Days of Summer worked for you, because the protagonists in THAT film were in their mid-20's, and therefore more relatable to YOU.

I did not like this movie as much as I did the Raimi ones, probably because the Raimi ones were the first to fulfill the promise of a Spiderman theater movie. Also, I did not care for the families portrayed in the latest, too on the surface and detached in the wrong places. Peter care for his aunt and her pains came way too late, his motivations sprang from a darker place even though both portrayals of Peter come from a place of selfishness and revenge, and the Lizard being another extension of his 'I cause this' guilt just made it harder to be for him and against the villain. Plus I just wanted for someone to smack him, Peter, for several reasons: attitude, care for his family, wearing the mask for a purpose. It was an interesting reboot and I'd watch a sequel, the college years.

These guys have lost their objectivity. I'm feeling this reboot way more than any of the previous movies.

I liked it didn't love it . I'm just so tired of reboots and excessive origins stories.

I can't disagree with the crew any more than I already do here. Cyrus was trying to make Peter out to look like a whiny , emo kid when in fact, he's not that at all. He's acting like an actual kid and a "real" nerd. Not some stereotype who wears excessively large glasses and has a pocket protector.

btw , it's good that Co-Host brought up Batman Begins.

Here's some Amazing Spider-Man trivia : The Amazing Spider Man trivia :" The filmmakers cite Steve Ditko's early work on 'Spider-Man' and Brian Bendis's 'Ultimate Spider-Man' comic, and Batman Begins as an influence on the film. "

Let me chime in with my review : The only amazing thing about this "Spider Man" that it makes Spider Man 3 look like the Godfather .
