New 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' Clip
I'm still so excited for the silly, effects-laden cheese parade that appears to be Timur Bekmambetov's 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.' It looks to be right up my alley and playing to my specific b-movie sensibilities. This latest clip from the film lends more insight into one of the big set pieces revealed in the trailer: the train battle. So goofy, so absurd, so awesome. I've read the book, did my synopsis and critique on it for College Comp. Want to see the movie for comparison. Really enjoyed the book, so far the trailers make me laugh so I think it's a good time film.

As for the clip and the movie, I'm a big civil war buff so I'll probably see it for that reason alone. However, the clip has the same kind of pacing as your run of the mill Underworld/Matrix wannabe and that -- along with the twirling weapons and wireworks -- is a personal turn off. I would probably enjoy it more if it were a vampire story in a historical epic movie rather than a historic figure in a stylish horror movie.
