Yeah, but is it 100% fact that all gay people are just perverted and have low standard, which is really a big assumption? That fact alone is invalid, no side to it. They can't be labeled as that and have strip of their dignity because they happen to fall under a category. They can't be open-minded as they're going against a simple basic fact.

Here's the thing... I do believe almost everybody falls into the former category. However, there's a fundamental difference between tolerance and acceptance. And both of these are a double-edged sword that swings both ways. The same goes with what is known as "the pretense of knowledge". I'm not talking specifically about gay marriage mind you. I am addressing the core of social and psychological sciences, which are in and of themselves speculative in nature.

That is to say, both sides can have get facts wrong, nobody is 100% sure, just be mindful to look at both sides before making a firm decision. That's what I think open-mindness should be about.

People are REALLY getting mixed up with open-mindedness and bigotry/ignorance. Now here's the thing, you don't have to agree with same-sex activity and lifestyle, but if you are willing to just let them live as a normal human being, thats being open-minded. When you have the ASSUMPTION that gay people are all perverted and prey on victims, thats being closed-minded and being complete ignorant as fuck. Especially relying on sources that is ridiculously un-credible, written from one-sided people who think they know everything!

@Leon  to be fair i sort of jumped into the comment before thinking about it and i shouldt have done that so you are totally right and even i came across abit mean me and the friend in question where talking about her not being confident to go to a spill party think thats why i reacted before really thinking about the comment i was leaving so for that im the one being a dick not you guys.

This was an interesting thing to listen to this week.  Ya'll talked about sooo much I've forgotten most of th things I was going to comment on.  I'm actually afraid of even trying to think of them and try to type them as I've forgotten what ya'll said I might say something wrong!

I don't know why it still surprises that members on the site will go on gigantic hate speeches about all sort of poltical topics, but during the beginning of the podcast when Korey and Leon where talking about the members who went crazy against the gay discussions, It shocked me more how much I just didn't care about those members despite their views on gays being like tunnel vision. I have always had a "live and let live" style of living, but should I be worried about how little I care?

You don't seriously think we have a scale at the entrance of SpillDotCon and a sign reading: "You must be least THIS skinny to not be made fun of", do you?  We're not dicks.
