At this point, I don't need to see trailers for new Disney/Pixar films. If Pixar is involved, I'm going to see the movie no matter what. However, this recent trailer for their upcoming 'Brave' does hit upon several of the elements that make us love Pixar films in the first place: outstanding lead characters, emotionally resonate stories, and tear-jerking music. I absolutely love this trailer, and I'd hazard you will too. Take a look below and let us know what you think.

'Brave' hits theaters June 22nd

@EagleVision

I think it has more to do from the vibe the trailer and the subject material seems to be aiming at. It seems terribly standard fantasy for Pixar and the characters all seem to be stereotypes, or in other words just archetypes. Beyond the Trailer did a short statement on the other aspect of why people don't seem to be lining up the metaphorical hype train for this movie which is the main character, Meridia herself. She just oozes girl-power and only girl-power. She lacks any sense of dimension. I suspect there is more to the movie than what we are being let on but surely, there has to be better ways to tell the story rather than the usual story which seems to be what is going on. That said, the final part of the trailer, the song, is pretty good, but I can't shake the feeling this is the descent of Pixar as a true powerhouse. Cars 2 was the first chink in the armor, let's hope this isn't one as well.

I really like what I've seen so far.I also don't get all the hate in some of the previous comments since none of you have even seen the film and judge it by some behind the scenes bullshit,like Cars 2 being the studio's previous film,the writer getting fired,etc...

Gotta love the people here. They go fullbore hatefest or movie apologist.

Folks...Disney FIRED the woman who wrote this, and then re-wrote to have a more standard Disney formula. Will it suck? Maybe not...but nothing so far indicates this will be good at all.

And yes Cars 2 was bad. Pixar set a high standard for itself, and Cars 2 not only failed that, they failed the Dreamworks standard. It was a film solely made to market Tom Mader. Period. Damned film was a WAY too long toy comerical.
