First Teaser for Rian Johnson's 'Looper'
We've seen the announcement for the preview of the teaser, we've seen the daily teasers for the teaser, and now finally at long last we have the actual, honest-to-Zod teaser trailer for Rian Johnson's upcoming sci-fi thriller, 'Looper'. Set in a world where time travel exists (but won't be invented for another couple decades), Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as the main character, Joe. Joe is a "looper" - when the mob in the future wants to dispose of someone, they send them back into the past where people like Joe are waiting to shoot them in the head and dispose of the body. However, things get more complicated when present day Joe (Levitt) recognizes one of the targets as his future self (played by Bruce Willis). JGL apparently underwent almost three hours of makeup every day and wore a variety of prosthetic appliances on his face to make him resemble Willis, and the effect is quite remarkable. While Levitt does carry a slight resemblance in the film, he definitely doesn't look like himself and it's interesting to see him take such a leap for a character.
'Looper' arrives in the present on September 28th.

If you listen to JGL in the beginning of the trailer you can hear him imitating Willis.

So in the trailer Joseph grows up to be Bruce Willis? Cool idea killing your future self but he knows what you know that and he's probably got 30 years of experence on him there's the challange, Rian Johnson has a interesting take on genres like Brick which I hear is a good take on a film noir I might need to watch it before I see this.

Wow! Jeff Daniels has put on A LOT of weight! Or maybe it is the Professor Jeff like beard making his face look fatter. Either way, I am so happy he is still working. A truly underrated actor in my opinion.
I am very curious to see how this film turns out. Hope for the best!

I'm sure they'll explain it in the film. My immediate thought is that it's cleaner. No mess to clean up (in terms of blood and evidence); the victim is killed in an entirely different time period.
Also, the more I see Joseph Gordon Levitt doctored up to play a young Bruce Willis, the more I convince myself he should play Max Payne.
