First 'Star Trek 2' Set Pics
I can't even begin to communicate how excited I am for J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek 2.' His 2009 foray into the series provided exactly the reboot the franchise needed. When he agreed to return for the sequel, along with the entire assembled cast of the first film, I may or may not have literally jumped for joy...but totally did. Today, the first set images for the sequel have been released. The first pic sees Spock (Zachary Quinto) applying the Vulcan nerve pinch to recently cast villain Benedict Cumberbatch ('Sherlock,' 'War Horse'). Talk about a great first glimpse! The second image is not quite as exciting but does show us Uhura (Zoe Saldana) back in action. Take a look at the images below and let us know what you think.

Still really wish they were shooting anamorphic. I mean it's just going to look cheaper than the first ... AND I CAN'T IMAX THIS SHIT NOW!!

Exactly. It's no one's surprise that the Gay-dar went off on Quinto. I am glad he stepped forward cause there are young men and women who may be questioning their sexuality and can hopefully be inspired to say...it's ok not to have all the answers but to learn to accept oneself.
I hope Benedict plays Sherlock zapped to the future to pit his wit against Kirk. ;)
