Rather than get all complainy about the upcoming Oscars broadcast or bitch about who shoulda won what when, we merely take a look back at the films that have taken home top honors in the past, and consequently add yet more titles to your Netflix queue. Check it...

Comment by Metal Face on March 1, 2012 at 9:59am I did not pet Cyrus or the rest of the league as fans of Disturbed at all or even anything related to that genre of music judging by all the songs that are normally played during breaks. I am pleasantly surprised by this.
Comment by Quicksandbuddy on March 1, 2012 at 1:11am Also, I feel like Rooney Mara deserved the Best Actress Oscar. She transformed herself and became a totally different person for Dragon Tattoo. Not to mention her Swedish accent was great (at least to this American's ears).
Meryl Streep may have been a great Margaret Thatcher, but it was by no means a wide departure from any previous roles she's done. You never didn't notice it was Meryl Streep. Whereas with Lisbeth Salander, when you mention that she's the girl from Social Network people are totally floored.
Comment by Quicksandbuddy on March 1, 2012 at 1:05am I'm not lying when I say that I like every Tarantino film I've seen - Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds - EXCEPT for Pulp Fiction. I honestly did not like Pulp Fiction. I couldn't really tell you why, but I just hated every minute when Travolta and Jackson weren't onscreen. It is by far my least favorite Tarantino film.
I'm honestly not trying to troll. I've felt this way since I saw it for the first time 3 years ago and have felt the same way every time I've tried to rewatch it since.
Comment by The Turnbulator on February 29, 2012 at 7:34pm Disturbed as an interlude, awesome!!
Comment by Chris Kelly on February 29, 2012 at 9:53am It's sad that I remember this, but I played the "Chariots of Fire" theme at my eighth grade graduation ceremony. Yeah, junior high school was not one of my fondest memories. Still listening to the podcast, but as usual, excellent work gentlemen!
Comment by Mythic on February 28, 2012 at 11:38pm Hey, i dont mind the occasional jab at something but really whats wrong with anime and manga, yes i read Naruto so what I also read things like Hellsing, FMA and Death Note, i like the culture and the story and before you make a joke about a story in manga at least they dont reboot it every few years or miraculously bring people back from the dead.
just because you don't like it you dont needot keep bashing it "George lucas is exempt from what i just said"
