I give this movie a "Fuck You"...seriously.

With a run time of two hours and thirty-something minutes, you have to earn that run time.

What I thought!

It was original I'll give it that.  The title sequence was worth the price of admission.  That said, I think there were far too many characters, the love story between the two main characters comes out of nowhere, and the ending didn't really satisfy.

Really Good movie, Rooney is the best

I'm in a Millenium phase right now. I read Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, watched the Swedish film, and saw this version. I love them all. Now I'm reading The Girl Who Played with Fire.

I struggled with deciding whether I liked the Swedish or American version better, but I've realized that they're two different takes on the book that do different things well. Mara and Rapace show different sides of Lisbeth, but both stick really close to the character. Between the two we basically have the perfect book-to-film adaptation.

Definitely want to see the American adaptation at the theater again.

Never read the book or saw the Swedish one....I like this movie although I completely understand why someone wouldn't...and because of the disturbing rape scenes I will not be watching it again...

petty good movie

weird though, my mom and older sister loved the books but couldnt stand the Swedish version

I totally dug the opening credits in this American version and the suspense, but damn they really uglied up Rooney Mara so bad

I liked it but didn't love it. I think I need to see it again.

Opening sequence was awesome, like a tool rudux of a james bond intro, dark and badass.  I do agree it dragged at end. But all in all its a good mystery movie.

Larrson's death is a let down because there were supposed to 10 or 12 books in the series. The fourth book was 70-80% complete when he died and, as of right now, we're never going to see it anytime soon due to some legal circumstances. It makes you wonder what would have happened if it was J.K. Rowling.
