I agree with them for the most part. I was disappointed in this movie. If anyone is interested in my review of the movie, you can check out my blog, also feel free to leave a comment.  http://moviereviewer96.wordpress.com/

i really liked the first movie but it had some pretty big holes here and there, like who the hell was this magic red headed midget who created all of this stuff to make the bad guy seemingly magical if it was supposed to be Moriarty helping along they did not do a great job of establishing that at all.

i loved this movie alot the scene in the woods was spectacular and the climax was brilliant. people seem to be overly agitated at the lack of detective work by holmes but really it is just about 10 minutes of amalgamated side puzzle solving which can be over done as well that was different from the first, the girls role was completely unnecessary, and they substituted more slapstick in place of the more dramatic elements.

still i loved this film to death for how they pulled it together and performances. high matinee/low full price

I admittedly enjoyed it when I finally got around to see it, I'd have to agree with Cyrus, liked it for different reasons than the first. I have to see it a second time to be absolutely sure what I think of it. First hour was meh, but the second hour was really good, showed the true conflict between Moriarty and Holmes. I felt it did have a good villain, it showed Holmes being truly tested and physically/mentally beat down by this game he was playing. As of right now, high matinee/low full price. As good as the first, i dont know yet.

I enjoy a good mystery story, and I saw Guy Ritchie's 2009 Sherlock Holmes as an entertaining and interesting take on the detective.

The start of this film was certainly entertaining. It brought back what was great about the first film. Yet during the second half I felt like I had gone into a hangover, as the characters went through one action sequence after another action sequence

Sherlock Holmes (2009): Low Full Price

This really wasn't a detective movie.Too much of Holmes solving mysteries off-screen and then suddenly telling the audience - just like the last movie. It's entirely impossible for the audience to follow. We never feel like Holmes is ever in danger because he's a goddamn psychic. He's an expert in everything, he has no weakness at all. The women in the movie are wasted so horribly. In was a fun jumble to watch. But it was a mess.

A lurking spill member here. As much as I respect your guys' opinions, this is a rare instance where I don't agree with the review. Maybe it's because I went in expecting nothing from the movie and was shocked at by how much I liked it. I've read the books and I know this movie isn't faithful to it much, but I like to think of Guy Ritchie's version to be the.. more action-packed version. And that isn't bad. The slow motion was too much for me in the scene where they're running in the woods, and Sherlock's 'psychic' ability to read his opponent's next moves was exaggerated, but overall I enjoyed the movie's humor and action. The ending was great as well and I can honestly say I'm glad I paid to see this.

I'll stay tuned for your next reviews anyways and hope you keep up the good work, guys. I'll also that people seem to have overreacted to this review..

I saw this movie at my theater on $6 Sundays. I say matinee, because of too much slow motion effects. If you have your own movie theater system it worth the wait for a rental.
