I think Leon and Cyrus needs to go back and watch this movie. This movie never showed Brad Pitts character as a villain. Like he said, "if this was any other movie he would be the villain", disagree. He never did it for the money he states it time and time again throughout the movie he just wants to win cause he hates losing, and if you think about it, it goes back to when he was younger and started playing baseball because of the money and he became a loser. There is enough in the movie where you understand what the character is all about. Even at the ending when he was going to be the highest paid GM in baseball, he turned it down. This movie was about a guy who saw flaws in the building of a team, where the people he is working with is trying to build a team like the Yankees and other ball clubs with a lot of money. Him and jonah hill's character changed how other ball clubs manages their team and they started to win and even won the World series. I agree that the movie does move a tad bit slow, but there is also things in there that you see in other baseball movies. Like a bunch of nobodies getting a chance to be somebodies. And I for one don't see a problem with them showing the statistic science behind the build. I enjoyed that and brought in something new to my eyes on how you can view actual baseball. I give it a Full Price

This is not a sports film its about Billy Beane and how he changed the way people think about baseball. Because of Billy Beane and what he did the Marlins, Red Sox, Cardinals, White Sox all won a world series based on Billy Beane's way of thinking.

Why did all of you think this was a baseball film? It was sold as exactly what it turned out to be and exactly how you explained it. I really don't understand why some of you actually took points off for something that only you were expecting. I mean the movie's called Moneyball. It doesn't even sound like a movie that takes place on the field.
