Cyrus was just comparing the effects of Sucker Punch.

Regardless, I'm totally with Cyrus. Well, mostly his logic. Cyrus was way more enthusiastic about the action than I was but I still found it entertaining.

I find that there is a lot of things lacking in South Korean period piece martial art movies,

modern ones are good like Old Boy etc, but the period pieces are always full of fillers and utter bullshit,

so many of them has LONG ass scenes of nothing except two characters looking each other back and forth,

they did it for Shadowless sword, Musa the Warrior, Duelists, Divine Weapon, and a slew of other ones, to the point THAT IT FEELS LIKE FUCKING TWILIGHT!!! and what's with their obsession with slow- mo death scenes for everyone? Also, STOP SHOWING SLO MO CRYING!!!

I feel these pieces, even the fantasy ones don't know what's good and what people want so they just copied a whole shitload of mechanics from other more successful martial arts movies but don't even know why they were good.

Like Leifield copying Lee, it's Pathetic

I thought this movie would have been better.

Agree with Co Host 100% on the fight scenes. I hate when you only see the SHADOW shots. Thats what ruined this one and made Ninja Assassin watchable.

I hated this movie. Really thought Ninja Assassin was better. This was really boring...barely any violence. Last twenty minutes were fun, but most of the sword shots were quick and stupid.

I agree ChristianDB, Co-Host confuses the fuck out of me...

I gave it an A+. If your a fan of old westerns like Fistful of Dollars and samurai films like Yojimbo, you will love this film.

YOU KNOW, ANDREA, I SAW THIS ON A WHIM, AND I AGREE. THIS MOVIE COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF IT WAS MADE IN A DIFFERENT STYLE, OR PERHAPS DIRECTED DIFFERENTLY.

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO SEE MORE OF A CONSISTENT AND DELIBERATE PULP STYLE TO THIS MOVIE BUT I GUESS THERE WASN'T THE RIGHT DIRECTOR OR ENOUGH MONEY.
