A poor ending almost never ruins a film for me...State of Play  - one twist too many but a great film. The Departed - brutal kill 'em all but at least Marky Mark made it out alive. Children of Men - Clive Owen's fate in the movie and its refusal to flesh out the universe deeply wounds but does not wreck the achievement of the rest of the movie. However, keyword is almost...this ending killed the movie, which was well filmed but too cynical - it did not have anything worth saying enough for the direction it took in the end. Also, he never tries to bust out when the coffin lid is cracked and broken - hasn't he seen Kill Bill Vol 2?! Better to die reaching up through what could be no more than a couple feet of soil than acting like the sand is water that you drown under...

FUCKING FANTASTIC FILM, It is really up there with Black Swan and the Social Network.  I hated the ending but damn was it good. People you need to watch this movie!!!

Finally got to see it. It didn't bother me that it seemed like there was some kind of political message in it since, as Korey said, where there is money and politics, people will become assholes.What did bother me like the rest of the spill crew is that Ryan's character did something that anybody would simply have said no.

What really carried "Phone Booth" was the villain played by Keifer Sutherland. I feel like without him, that film would not have worked.
