Here here Corey, I used to love Doug too.  That Patty Mayonnaise was dreamy hot, with her squiggly yellow hair and her lesbian good looks.

I recently starting reading the books, and to my surprise their entertaining as all hell. Yeah, the book makes it a must on showing Greg off as a self centered douche, but that is one of running themes... and that's what makes it fun. Depending the situation, sometimes he makes off like a bandit, while other times things just completely backfire on him (he plays a joke on Rowely in one of the books, and ends up getting his hand smashed with a hammer, or another time he's trying to fish out a birthday present his little brother threw up in a tree. In the process, he's accidentally pantsed in front of a house full of party guests (family included)... and what's worse, to avoid having to wash his own cloths he started using clothing he swore would never see the light of day. Namely; his Wonder-Women underwear he got as a gift). I've yet to see the film, but I wouldn't mind giving it a go. Rumor has it their working a sequel, "Rodrick Rules."

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Release Dates: Friday March 19, 2010

Andrade JR. II Rating: 5 stars

Movie review written by Hector Fernando Andrade JR. II

On Friday March 19, 2010 my mom, my little brother and I went to see the 7:05 P.M movie presentation of Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

I am a fan for the books and I also auditioned for the role of Greg Heffley for Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

At first I was worried about the choices of the cast and the humor Diary of a Wimpy Kid was aiming for but as I was watching Diary of a Wimpy Kid I felt really entertained and I was having a whole new, bright, charming, witty, level of fun.

The story is based on the first book and instantly appealing, good, funny and charming.

The cast is energic and creamy and all the acting from all the actors in Diary of a Wimpy Kid is alive, witty and fantastic.

Thor Freudenthal's direction as the director for Diary of a Wimpy Kid stays true to the books and it is fun.

The animated visuals are cool and great to see come to animated life.

Overall I loved It, my mom, my little brother also loved it. Every fan of the books and even adutioners for the role of Greg Heffley for Diary of a Wimpy Kid is going to love it. I thought Diary of a Wimpy Kid was an A+ excellent, good, memorable, funny and charming movie. I give Diary of a Wimpy Kid two thumbs up and the score of 90 out of 100 and I hope you enjoy Diary of a Wimpy Kid, so enjoy the movie, enjoy Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Alright, alright, ill admit. I did read the books and thought they did have some funny moments and good drawings. But then without those, there is NOTHING good about this series. Honestly, no offense, but i really disliked Greg. He goes through hell everyday, but he does deserve it. Greg shows very little of a heart if any heart at all, he only feels bad for himself, hes a bit of a narcissist, very selfish, and willing to throw away his family and friends and everything important if he gets to be popular and rich and famous. And you know, since there was NO happy endings or even beginnings to any of the books, the movie would have little of a story, just grossout humor. Ya, Codename KND had grossout humor, but it also had a STORY, and really great characters, so thats why i loved it. I havent seen this movie yet, but i dont plan on it, and im gonna skip reading any more of the books. Sorry, but unless you can understand Greg or anyone, there is NO point.

You know, I haven't yet seen the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film, but I've read three of the books. Although Greg Heffley's character is the same way in the books, somehow I managed to identify with him on one level, even though he could be a complete jerk. Maybe it was just his whole outlook on middle school, which I can imagine is much easier to identify with in book form than in movie form.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book Series won the 2010 Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Book Series. Yay. I am so happy.

I took my nephew to this movie tonite. He likes the book series. I'm right there with you on the main character, Cyrus. He came off as annoying and shallow. And didn't seem to learn a lesson by the end of the movie. My nephew said they changed A LOT of things for the movie. I hated this. But I love my nephew and he liked it. So that's what matters. I still hated it.
